Nelson Tonn
Vice President, Sales & Mine Service
Career Summary
Nelson Tonn joined Fountain Tire as an Advertising Coordinator in 1998. He was promoted to Advertising Manager and then to Director of Marketing. In 2009, he was appointed Vice President, Marketing and Supply Chain and has been part of the Fountain Tire Executive Team since.
In 2015, he became the company’s first Vice President, Sales. Nelson leads the Corporate Sales Team which focuses on Fountain Tire’s largest customers. In 2019, the Fountain Tire Mine Service business was added to his portfolio.

Education
Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Alberta. “Alumnus with an Outstanding Career in the Retailing Sector” award from the University of Alberta School of Retailing.
Community Involvement
In 2021, the Alberta Recycling Management Authority appointed Nelson to the Board of Directors, where he also serves as the Chair for the Tire Industry Council. Since 2015, Nelson has been an active Board Member of the Goodyear Commercial Tire and Service Network representing all Goodyear dealers in Canada. Nelson is also an active Board Member of: Kivalliq Tire Mine Service, Kitikmeot Tire Mine Service and is a Member at Large for the Shepherd's Care Foundation, and Alberta Beach Christian Camp.
