Driven by partnership. Built for the road ahead.
We believe that success is best when it’s shared. Since our first store opened in 1956, we’ve built our business on partnership, integrity, and community — connecting people and possibilities from coast to coast.
From our unique ownership model to our strong partnerships with trusted brands and local businesses, we’ve created a company that doesn’t just serve customers — we partner with them.
Because whatever the road ahead brings, we’re on it together.
Our History
In 1956 Bill Fountain opened our first store in Wainwright, Alberta. In the beginning, Fountain Tire existed only as a double-bay garage. Then it spread, across Alberta, across the Prairies, and now across Canada.
Our Business
Partnerships are a core element of our DNA. Our unique 50/50 model provides our local managers the opportunity to own 50% of their store by partnering with Fountain Tire.
Our Partner
In 1987 we partnered with Goodyear Canada, one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers. Goodyear’s established marketing presence and our reputation as a leading Canadian tire retailer helped us both flourish.
Our Network
Today, Fountain Tire operates more than 165 locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. Each store is locally owned and operated, supported by the systems, expertise, and scale of a national organization — delivering consistent service wherever the road takes you.
Leadership That Moves Us Forward
Our leadership team provides strategic direction while staying closely connected to the people and communities we serve. With a focus on integrity, collaboration, and long-term growth, our leaders help ensure Fountain Tire remains strong, agile, and future-focused.
Our Board of Directors
With experienced oversight and strategic perspective, our Board guides Fountain Tire’s governance and long-term priorities. Together, they safeguard our values, strengthen accountability, and support sustainable success.
