Career Summary
Shad started at Fountain Tire in 1997 in the marketing department after finishing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Alberta. Over his career, he has had leadership roles in Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Safety, Learning & Development, Information Technology and Payroll.
Shad was appointed to the position of Director of Human Resources and Safety in 2013. In 2021, he added the leadership of Marketing to his portfolio and was promoted to Vice President of People and Customer Experience.

Community Involvement
Shad currently sits on the United Way Corporate Solutions Cabinet and is an active volunteer within the Junior Achievement program. He also mentors within the Human Resources Institute of Alberta's (HRIA) mentorship program.
Shad has previously served as Chair of Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta, the Human Resources Committee for the Automotive Industry Association (AIA) of Canada and the Canadian Society of Training and Development (CSTD) Edmonton Chapter. He has also served on other committees including the Retail Council of Canada and the United Way Investment committee.
