Career Summary

Cathy got a taste for business and finance growing up in the family aviation business in Saskatchewan. She formally started her Finance career in the Northwest Territories, spending several years with the Inuvik Housing Authority and at New North Networks. Cathy progressed through several accounting roles at Fountain Tire before becoming Associate Vice President of Finance in 2017, responsible for the finance accounting, credit and treasury services groups. In 2021, Cathy became the Chief Financial Officer where her portfolio expanded to include legal, office services and real estate. In late 2021, information systems was added to her portfolio. She also plays a significant role in strategic development, oversees enterprise risk and collaborates with her fellow Executive Leadership team members on various initiatives.

Education

Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta, and a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Community Involvement

Cathy currently sits on the Audit Committee of the Automotive Industry Association of Canada (AIA). Cathy also serves on the boards of two Indigenous businesses: Kivalliq Tire Mine Service and Kitikmeot Tire Mine Service. She is a member of Fountain Tire’s Fundraising Committee and has supported the United Way since 2004. Cathy has been involved in the Junior Achievement (JA) Company Program since 2015 and serves as coach and mentor to high school students in the Company Program. She also supports the Social and Active Workplace Committees.
