Tire Warranty
Fountain Tire offers warranties on all of its tires, including RV, farm, and commercial. We also offer other types of tire warranty coverage, which are outlined below.
Fountain Tire's Hassle-Free Warranty
With the purchase of any passenger tire (including performance and winter tires) or light truck tire at Fountain Tire, you receive the following services and warranty:
Valid on all brands (Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly)
- Free installation
- Free tire rotations
- Free flat repairs* on passenger and P-Metric light truck tires not used in commercial applications, tires that are worn below 2/32" tread depth will not be repaired
- Free Fountain Tire Road-Hazard Warranty valid on most Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly tire purchases, labour to install a new tire covered by road-hazard warranty is not included, there may be additional charges if you require after-hours service
*Not available at all stores, please see your Fountain Tire store for details.
Extra charges will apply for vehicles that have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
Fountain Tire's Road Hazard Protection Plan**
Fountain Tire's Road Hazard Protection Plan covers tires that become unrepairable or unserviceable due to injuries such as cuts, punctures, snags, or impact with objects. In this case, tires will be replaced with the same type of new tire (if available), or a comparable new tire of the same basic construction, on a pro-rated basis. Effective January 1, 2005. Valid for five years from date of tire purchase on all brands (Goodyear, Dunlop, and Kelly).
**This plan applies to all passenger vehicle tires, P-metric light truck tires, and Goodyear Wrangler AT/S, Wrangler RT/S, Wrangler with SilentArmor, Dunlop Radial Rover AT, and Radial Rover RVxt "LT" light truck tires. Goodyear Tire Warranty 
Manufacturer's Workmanship and Material Defect Warranty
Tires are warranted against workmanship or material-related conditions.
Radial tires: Entitled to a free replacement if tire is removed from service during the first 25% of usable tread wear, or 12 months from date of purchase, whichever comes first. Tires not eligible for free replacement will be replaced with a new Goodyear tire on a pro-rated basis.
Other tires: Entitled to a free replacement if tire is removed from service during the first 10% of usable tread wear, or 12 months from date of purchase, whichever comes first. Tires not eligible for free replacement will be replaced with a new Goodyear tire on a pro-rated basis.
Manufacturer's Tread-Life Warranty
Tires are warranted against tread wear wear-out before delivering the warranted mileage. If the tread wears evenly down to the tread-wear indicators, before delivering the warranted mileage, the tire will be replaced on a pro-rated basis.
The Tread-Life Warranty offered by Fountain Tire is a mileage guarantee, that is, you will be compensated if your tread wears evenly down to the tread-wear indicators before delivering the warranted mileage. The purpose of the Tread Life Warranty is to protect customers once they have purchased tires from Fountain Tire.
Tread-Life Warranty vs. Performance Rating
It should be noted that the Tread-Life Warranty available at Fountain Tire is not comparable to a tire performance rating (as some retailers advertise). A tire performance rating, expressed in kilometres, is a guideline which provides an expected number of kilometres that will be achieved using those tires. The actual kilometres anyone receives with his/her tires depends on driving habits, the vehicle's condition, and the type of road travelled. A tire performance rating is sometimes used to help make choices about which tire to purchase, but it is not, nor does it address, the mileage warranty associated with any particular tire.
