Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion

Did you know that 55% of all spinal cord injuries are a result of motor vehicle accidents? Fountain Tire is committed to its partnership with Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion. As an event sponsor since 2003, we believe that having your tires and vehicle properly maintained helps in the promotion of road safety. Rick Hansen Wheels In Motion is the Rick Hansen Man In Motion Foundation's signature event. It is held in communities across Canada in June every year. Family, friends, and colleagues pledge to wheel-on bicycles, in wheelchairs, on inline skates, on scooters-or walk and jog to raise awareness and funds to improve the lives of people with spinal cord injury. United Way
Local United Ways - Centraides are focused on increasing the organized capacity of people to care for one another. They create a common ground where labour, business, community leaders, and government come to the table to identify needs and solve problems. They help to build the communities of tomorrow and deliver much needed health and social services. The Support Network
Anyone, anytime, can feel distressed about a personal problem. The Support Network is a safe place to call when life hurts. Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, The Support Network is an organization that empowers people to obtain help and discover resources to manage or improve their current situation. They work to strengthen individuals, families, and the community-especially those who are experiencing crisis or distress- through support, information, and education. The Support Network provides a variety of services including distress help lines, walk-in counselling, suicide prevention education, and workshops, and training.
